Real Estate in Northeast Florida and Around the World

Have you heard the news?  A recent report from the University of Florida says the bottom of Florida's real estate market has been found!  Of course those of us that have been the boots on the ground have been saying this for several months.  Buyers are out, and yes, they are still out even with the April 30 tax credit deadline having passed. 

In recent months I have personally been involved in several transactions that resulted in multiple offers, an activity that tells us the market is normalizing.  Inventory levels are continuing to shrink, and buyers are paying closer to list prices with fewer contributions being made by the sellers.  Of course, all of these activities that indicate a normalizing market are seen first by those involved in daily real estate activities.  The data that supports the activities always lags - which is why the general public is only recently beginning to hear this good news.
