Three of the most happy, emotional and milestone events in a person's life are when they purchase a home, have a child or get married.  No doubt about it, there are a multitude of emotions that surround you when any of those events occur, and happiness is only one of them.

This past weekend my daughter was married to the love of her life, and the wedding was one of the most cherished events that I have ever been present to witness.  What I experienced first hand trying to get to the big day as the mother of the bride is what most people experience - joy, frustration, confusion, tears, laughter and so much pride and love at the end of it all I thought I was going to burst.  And my daughter and new son were so enchanting, I thought I was in a fairy tale.  I digress.....

I also watch these same emotions emerge with home buyers and sellers as they go through the process of buying and selling their homes.  For sellers, the work involved in preparing the home for sale, the difficulty in letting go of precious memories that are priceless to the seller, but carry little monetary value to the next buyer can be heartwrenching. The frustration in price negotiations, and the satisfaction when it is all over with that they can finally move on to the next stage of their life, into their next home.  For buyers, the anxiety in finding the right home, the confusion of the process and the joy when it is all over often finds tears right in the middle of it all.
